first order of business
there were a couple of birthdays that came and went while i was purposefully ignoring the blog.
first happy belated birthday to CS. hope the new job is treating both you and heather well.
second happy birthday to
the man that insisted that i love the red sox. well maybe not insisted. strongly encouraged might be a better way to put it. who drank red stripe with me by the case in tucson and BBQ and TEX-MEX by the platter in austin. who didn't geek out when i dognapped his beagal. he should have known i didn't have the heart to lock her up in a crate when she could just as easily roam freely around at my place...not to mention the car ride. this same man has endured my flightiness, commitment phobia, and my total lack of skill at any worthwhile list making. but most importantly, he's always been there when i needed him the most. sure sometimes he wanted to snap my hard head, narrow visioned head off. (i don't blame him. i consider popping my own head off for the same reasons quite frequently.) thanks for everything my friend. here's to another 4 years...if you can stand me that long.
and lastly, happy birthday to me. there was a festive celebration at work. coffee for everyone. everyone dressed for the occasion. hats, special shoes, and white gloves. we even added masquerade masks from time to time. and the grand finale?!?! oh yeah...removing a fibriotic uterus that was bigger than a softball. for those lay people that might not understand the true speciallness behind a softball size uterus, they're generally not much bigger than a golf ball. happy birthday to me.
more tomorrow the ambien i sucked down before i left work is kicking into overdrive. time to sleep.
